Inspired by Byzantine and Victorian military motives melting into a modern and ethereal atmosphere, the purpose of this editorial was to raise awareness about historical buildings in Phnom Penh that are overlooked, under-appreciated, and most of the time destroyed and replaced by modern and poorly constructed buildings. The location provided the perfect surrealistic environment to represent the spirit of the collection, ‘Aurum’, meaning gold in Latin.
